On October 3, 1995 Orenthal James Simpson was found not-guilty of murder in a California court. Johnny Cochran, F. Lee Bailey and Robert Schapiro were three of his attorneys. Cochran has passed away, Bailey has passed into semi-obscurity and Schapiro is hawking on-line legal services on television. Thirteen years later, somewhat due to circumstances that developed following his acquittal, Orenthal James Simpson was found guilty in a Nevada court of kidnapping and robbery. I’ve heard some people say that they don’t believe in coincidence. I’ll stay out of that but what are the odds that these two events would occur on the same date in history? Throw in the mystical number of thirteen….and you’ve got the setting for a tv show.
