Kalmaegi A Huge Rain Maker-Cristobal Forms Off SE US Coast

The former Typhoon Kalmaegi hit Taiwan with winds only about 60 mph but it dropped some 44 inches of rain in 24 hours! If that verifies, it would rival Alvin Texas with a tropical storm in the 70’s.  Here’s a story from Relief Web.

13 Dead in Taiwan-Relief Web

Apparently the China Environmental Law Blog offices closed Saturday due to the storm.

If you snoop around you will see forecast maps like the one on the relief web. That differs from the Joint Typhoon Warning Center’s latest track.

Meanwhile, back in the good old USA Tropical Storm Cristobal has formed. It is forecast to hug the Carolina Coast before zipping out to sea.
