Well, Snow White might agree with you but I certainly don't wish any ill will toward Jeremy Bolt. I've always just wondered how he didn't capitalize on his fame. Perhaps it was because he was and is a humble person who doesn't go around promoting himself. As I had said, Snow White thought I was too hard on him. As for Mr. Soul, ifyou noticed I didn't make a qualitative comment regarding his hit song. Nevertheless, that was most certainly an attempt to capitalize on his Starsky fame. I also feel for Mr. Sherman as that had to be difficult having his wife marry his former colleague and perhaps friend. It would appear that he is doing good work for good people and cares about others. Thanx for the update and information. Rest assured though, I certainly do not wish him bad things and applaud his efforts to serve others. I loved Captain Clancy and liked the show.

All of you, except the writer, will be happy to know that, Bobby is alive and well and working with the LAPD, the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department, and also as an EMT. His work to promote widespread training of CPR to the General Public, has most likely saved countless lives. He went back out on the road for a short stint in the late 1990's in order to promote a Book written by Dena Hill, about Bobby's life. Bobby did several concerts, and spent much time meeting and talking with his fans during these concerts.
Divorced in the 80's Bobby's ex-wife Patti married the much bantied about on this site; David Soul, who as it turned out was a wife abusing alcoholic, who fled to Canada in order to avoid prosecution on evasion of Child Support. So much for being talented. Bobby continued to support both Patti and the kids. Today, at 66 Bobby is a proud Father, and Grandfather who continues to work within the city of Los Angeles.
Those of us who love Bobby will always have a special place in our hearts for him.
"Here come the Brides", may not have been the "Sopranos", but for a miriad of 14 year girls in1969; myself being one of them, Bobby was our sweetest, most special "First Love". Just looking into the depths of those blue eyes, the smooth lines of that clean cut jaw was enough. Nothing more than a simple kiss would have occured to any of us, back then. No 14 year old today would understand that.
Sadly, Henry Beckman the actor who played "Clancy" passed away early in 2008.

Lost interest in your blog, Bob? I don't think so. I read almost every day and catch up on the rare days when I don't. Congratulations on the 500K milestone. You need to start getting some advertising!

I don't pretend to have in depth knowledge of the financial markets but I do have a bad feeling about how long that this "recovery" will last. I agree with what you said about comparisons to 1929. A lot has changed in the world economy and the U.S. economy since then. But what scares me is the higher degree of inter-connectivity in the world economy today that didn't exist in 1929. Anyway, time will tell.

Snow White had to take a while to think about it but now she is singing the Bobby Sherman song. He was a short lived phenomena. David Souil's hit was lame and was later...by that time Bobby Boy had faded into obscurity. Remember, before Starsky and Hutch, Soul had been in Magnum Force. You know who 's also been around for a long time from that movie is the guy who played otter..."Eric Stratton..damn glad to meet you" from Animal House...Tim Matheson. He was on Bonanza yet stayed young enough looking to play a college kid when Animal House came out. The guy who was a shakespearean trained actor on the show was Robert Brown, aka Jason Bolt. And then there was Joan Blondell. By the time she was Lottie, age had caught up to her but, you can see from the pic, she was a hottie and ran around with the Erroll Flynn crowd and the partying Hollywood starlets.

Anyway, it will be interesting to see how all of this is going to shake out. Right now, if I were still a Financial Consultant, I would probably be considering to pull everything off the table soon and go to cash. I see many troubling signs that there could be another drop in profits and also stock prices. Sorta like the stock market following October 1929. If you google my name and "lets take a look at the stock market crash in 1929" or something similar, you will find a post I had that has the Dow Jones chart and you see many false rebounds in the early 1930's where things rise and then drop again pretty sharply. I'm afraid that may happen. If the longer term fear mongers are right, then some of these actions today could actually prolong what might have otherwise been a short term but relatively deep recession. But, everyone has ideas of what they "know" is going to happen but there are so many variables that its tough to tell. While 1929 and beyond is a fact, it is not necessarily a prescription for the future. The entire enviroment is way different and so you cant transport back then to today and say with certainty what will happen. In other words, the term "history repeats itself" is false.

Glad to hear from you. Twas getting afraid that you had lost interest. I just recently passed my 500,000 page view for 2009.

Well, where to start. I can't understand how we got to this point so quickly. I guess the so-called education system has finally succeeded in making the majority of Americans too ignorant to recognize socialism when they see it.

I liked Bobby Sherman. Ask Snow White if she remembers his hit "Easy Come, Easy Go." As I recall, you could get a 45-single of his hit on the back of a box of cereal. I think it was Sugar Smacks, but I'm not sure about that. You had to cut the single out of the back of the box! As you can imagine the sound quality left somewhat to be desired. David Soul's hit was "Don't Give Up On Us Baby.", in case you didn't know. I actually remembered that, believe it or not. I was a big Starsky & Hutch fan.
