They’re making way for a new basketball arena in Louisville but first they have to get rid of the existing buildings. One of which is the old Humana building. Here is some edited raw video of the building going down on Saturday morning, July 19. It’s pretty cool. There are 4 or 5 different angles, including one from the chopper. The last one is in slow motion.

Here’s the Environmental Angle: There was an Air Quality Alert Day when they blew up the building adding an untold amount of dust to the air. The show must go on!!! There have been other documented occasions when the city was cutting the grass on ballfields on air qualiity alert days when everyone else is encouraged not to cut the grass. Make what you will of all of that! You can draw your own opinion without my help.
