As you can see, today’s main severe threat is well to our south and southeast. In general, the Louisville Metro Area will remain in the cooler, more stable sector of the storm system. Light, cool showers this morning have stabilized the atmosphere and made it very difficult for any strong storms to develop. This is a rain event. However, to the east and southeast may have enough wind energy to become problematic and our extreme east and southern parts of the viewing area has a small risk of being susceptible to that sort of thing. The risk would most likely be hail or strong winds but in all likelihood.
